On Monday, October 5th, 2026 at 6pm in New York City, join Peace Action Fund of New York State to honor the peacemakers!
Every year, we host the WSC Peacemaker Awards, an event which brings together the many faces of the New York peace movement to honor the change-makers fighting tirelessly for peace and justice.
We hope you'll join us to honor our 2026 Peacemaker Awardees:
The National Iranian American Council (NIAC) for their impactful advocacy against the war on Iran, and
NYC Mayor Zohran Mamdani as a former student activist and voice for Palestinian rights on the national stage!
As an organization with a strong focus on student organizing, we also take this annual opportunity to honor the young activists who are shaping our movement and working for a more peaceful future. They will present the 2026 Don Shaffer Student Peacemaker Award to Niagara University Peace Action for their on-campus organizing work in the 2025-2026 school year. They will also present the 2026 Holly Maguigan Peace with Justice Award to an emerging peace movement leader selected by our New Leadership Council for their outstanding contributions to the peace movement.

This is Peace Action Fund of New York State's biggest fundraiser of the year, and the funds raised provide crucial support for our Campus Organizing Program. Thanks to supporters just like you, the Campus Organizing Program has mentored more than 150 student peace movement leaders and coordinated skills-building trainings, educational conferences, and leadership opportunities for students at universities across New York State.

Event Details
The 2026 William Sloane Coffin, Jr. Peacemaker Awards
When: Monday, October 5th, 2026 at 6pm. (Doors open at 5:30pm.)
Where: Scandinavia House, 58 Park Avenue (between 37th and 38th Streets), New York, NY 10016. (This venue is wheelchair accessible.)
What: Auditorium awards ceremony at 6pm, followed by a reception with refreshments and wine.
Virtual Tickets may be purchased for $25 to view the awards ceremony via livestream.
